Welcome to my blog. I’ll be posting my progress on setting up Apple’s OS X Server among other Mac and technology related topics.

Future tutorials will include setting up Apache, MYSQL, and PHP on OS X Client and Server so you can run many of the open source applications that are freely available like Wordpress, BBPress, Gallery, and more.

There’s a lot of great stuff out there if you can manage to get it up and running, but this area has traditionally been the realm of IT professionals. It can be quite daunting for people in the creative field unfortunately, as I’m sure many of you can relate.

Fortunately for us Mac users, there are some great resources out there and I hope this site will serve to enhance our collective knowledge base.

If anything, it’ll be a record for my own personal use as I’m just getting my feet wet as well in creating dynamically generated sites with the use of the popular AMP (Apache, MySQL, and PHP) package. I bought a bunch of books that I haven’t touched yet.

So I hope the tutorials I’ll be creating will take some of the mystery out of setting up a server environment so that you can start creating content.
